Carlos Aller
 

Born in Spain, Carlos began his dance journey in 2005, mastering breakdancing on the streets of Valladolid. Immersed in the urban dance scene, he developed his skills through competitions across Spain, laying the foundation for his professional career.

 

In 2012, Carlos moved to Berlin to deepen his artistic practice, studying contemporary dance at Tanzfabrik and exploring diverse styles and disciplines. A year later, he co-founded Frantics Dance Company, which has since toured extensively across Europe, earning critical acclaim for its innovative and dynamic performances.

 

In 2022, Carlos founded “Carlos Aller & Cecilia Bartolino”, a collaboration that has since developed a diverse repertoire of four works, which continue to tour internationally.

Carlos has performed and choreographed for prestigious organizations such as the Akram Khan Summer Intensive, Iwanson International, MASDANZA, among others.

 

His works, including “Nothing Happens,” “A/way Home,” and “Saudade de Ti,” have toured internationally. Passionate about advancing contemporary dance, Carlos also contributes to educational programs for young audiences.

 

He has collaborated with renowned choreographers like Akram Khan and Fernando Melo, and his experience includes performances with Theater Strahl (Berlin), Iron Skulls Co, and productions like La Monnaie De Munt’s Tristan and Isolde (Brussels), and many others.

Cecilia Bartolino

Originally from Italy, Cecilia Bartolino began dancing at the age of five. At eighteen, she moved to Germany to train at the Iwanson Contemporary Dance School. After graduating, she joined the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company Masa in Israel and later pursued a freelance career in Tel Aviv.

 

Now based in Berlin, Cecilia has collaborated with renowned choreographers and companies, including Romeo Castellucci and Wang Ramirez. 

In 2022, Cecilia co-founded the artistic duo "Carlos Aller & Cecilia Bartolino," with whom she has toured extensively across Europe, presenting their innovative works.

Carlos and Cecilia have been collaborating for several years, creating works such as Nothing Happens, A/way Home, Saudade de Ti, Saudade, The Day After Tomorrow, and You Will Never Be Alone. Their performances have been showcased at renowned venues and festivals, including TAC Valladolid, Spain (2023), Roxy Ulm, Germany (2023), MASDANZA Spain (2023), Dock 11, Berlin (2024), Moving Bodies Festival, Potsdam (2024), Danza en el Camino – a tour of 15 performances across Spain (2024), and Art Space Bremerhaven (2024), among other festivals.

Their piece A/way Home is supported by Centro Coreográfico De La Gomera (ESP) and Simona Bucci Company (ITA) and was awarded 2nd Prize at the 23rd Certamen de Coreografía Burgos New York (2024). Saudade de Ti received support from Draussenstadt Berlin and Tanzstation Wuppertal, while Saudade won 2nd Prize at the International Festival Stuttgart (2023) and toured Germany that same year.

Their latest production, Nothing Happens, premiered at Dock 11, Berlin, in January 2025.

Carlos Aller & Cecilia Bartolino is a dance theatre company founded in 2022. The duo creates performances that combine dance, theatre, and social-political themes, with a unique sense of humor that adds lightness while addressing serious topics. Their work seeks to engage audiences of all ages: children, adults, and elders. Their performances are highly adaptable, seamlessly transitioning between street, site-specific, theatre, and gallery settings to bring their art to a wide variety of spaces and audiences.
